Revell 1/48 Spitfire Mk.II

The Supermarine Spitfire was the British Royal Air Force’s premiere fighter during most of WWII and, with the Hawker Hurricane, formed the backbone of defence against the German Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. When Winston Churchill spoke of the few that gave so much, he was referring to the R.A.F. pilots in their Spitfires. Originally a seaplane, the Spitfire won a competition to become the R.A.F.’s number one fighter. It proved to be more than a match for the best that Germany could muster.

Revell has been entertaining, inspiring, and educating model builders for over 70 years. Revell brand is a testament to the popularity of detailed plastic model kits that are affordably priced. Launched in 1943, Revell initially produced a wide range of products, including train sets, scale buildings and “action pull toys” recreating some of America’s most popular automobiles. However, the brand found its niche with a line of fast-building “Highway Pioneers” plastic model car kits in the early 1950s. After their success, Revell focused exclusively on making models that were as authentic as they were enjoyable. Most recently we are introducing our newest line, Revell Junior Kit, which allows children as young as age 5 to assemble and dis-assemble for hours of creative play.
